union

together we ascend and descend
on this joyous swing.
bouncing our feet on earth and leaping back,
we stretch our length from toe to head
skywards
and fling ourselves down swinging high,
and when we touch the free spaces where gravity stops,
you whisper in my ear:
"this is both jugum and yuj."

then starts the learning of new languages.

It's almost like flying, isn't it.

"What then is Yoga? The etymological sense of the word is union, yoke (Dutch juk, German joch, Latin jugum, Sanskrit yuj)." I have just finished reading a book titled 'The Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo' by Rishabhchand, a little known disciple of Sri Aurobindo. My piece is a poor description of how I it was like, reading the book. It was even beyond the exhiliration of flying, Prabhakar, Arun.
