beyond language

i do not know the language of the song i listened to this morning on a u-tube link on my friend MTaI's blog:

but listening to the music and watching the scenes unfolding i heard the song saying this:

when someone dies somewhere
it is part of me that dies
when a child is born somewhere
it is me... being born again....

her post is on the Mumbai bomb blasts:

i am involved not just in the whole of mankind, but in the whole that manifests, had manifested and will manifest the play of consciousness in time and space. although i am a novice, i think this knowlege is the key to spirituality. and until the dawn of this knowledge happens, there will be strife in this world. (rather highbrow stuff, isn't it? but i wrote this stuff spontaneously on hearing the song because it is the truth).

Good morning Sir !

I guess if we go by the Indian philosophy that all matter and soul is essential one and the same, the lines you say can be interpreted to be perfectly true !

I saw your reply on your previous post ... but I guess, like Sorcy says "Feel free ... feel free .. Fire at will" :D :D

P.S : Just between you me and certain other friends, Sorcy is going too soft ... we could do with some firing on his blog !

Wokay then .... have a great day !!!

First, Deepa, calling me 'sir' makes me feel a pompous, potbellied, bespectacled baldy, which I am not. So call me Venuji as Kalpana calls, Venu Chettan as Arun calls, Venu Uncle as Sumi calls, or mere Venu as Balan calls.

I think it is not Indian philosophy alone, but the philosophy of all religions--each one and everything is the play and manifestation of the same supraconsciousness. this is not to be understood as a mere philosophical thought. It has to become an awareness spreading its arms to touch everything and everything.

Sorcy is a devoting his creativity to certain other areas nowadays (he has to live, hasn't he?). That's why you think he is going soft on the blog. He will bounce back, be assured!

hello hello ...

the 'SIR' was more for respect and also coz i was clueless how to address you.

So, u dont like being addressed as 'SIr' Hmmmm ... Venuji makes you sound like a north Indian uncle ... 'Chettan' is not an easy usage (not used to it at all), Uncle makes me measure my words, and I cant call you just 'Venu'. Modes of address could be many ... do you like being addressed as 'Maashe' ? Like Venu Maashe ?

From the little I read and understood, in the West, the souls are considered as individual entities ... and hence there is no significance of 'Oneness' of matter ... and the focus is more on individual matter. (Could this explain why rebirth is not believed in, in the West ?) I may be wrong ... but this is what I understood from what I read.

venu mashe sounds excellent. there is respect, if you want respect, and at the same time a patronising casualness and intimacy of being on the same plane. that is just beautiful!!! call me venu mash! sounds dignified.

these are deep territories we are entering. to tell you my vague thoughts, i consist of molecules and atoms, each having an energy and urge of its own. "urge and urge and urge, the procreant urge of man." you should read Walt Witman's Leaves of Grass. it gives the whole thing. the person i am, the sum total of the urge of all the atoms that make me, is constantly dying and is being born again. some atoms depart, while new ones aggregate on the central theme of my physical being. our relation to the whole of what we call life and consciousness is the same. it is a difficult thing to understand because the individual self is conditioned to retain its separateness.
(i am writing this after three drinks!!!)

Hello hello ...

yes, i read this.... (not the book tho) ... the same philosophy ...

but what was believed in the West differed apparently ...

but all that aside ... i feel this is why we have stuff like telepathy, dejavu etc

yes, we have learned the trick of staying connected horizontally and vertically in time and space! everything happening now anywhere in the infinite space we know. everything that had ever happened and would ever happen any which place in the infinite expance of space we know.
(i am like this early mornings and late evenings. as the sun climbs up i become a normal person.)
