Soliloquy

A discussion is a soliloquy within an undivided mind.
When the group mind is divided,
what we have intended as a discussion
becomes a debate.

In a debate,
there is violence involved.
The aim is forgotten in the fury of the violence...

Very true...nicely described.

One can write a thesis on this subject, Kalyan, if one were to elaborate on each word in this piece. It is the problem with communication at all levels. There is no group ego, only the individual ego. There is no group mind, only individual mind, with all its aggressive selfish intentions.
Thank you for coming to my blog.

perils of the profession ???

ur dad's legacy has been carried fwd

Perils everywhere, Deeps, if we examine it closely--within family, within profession, within the society.

When we stand apart with our own individual agendas, the team never wins. Tendulkar wants to complete his century and so will not take any risks and accelerate the scoring rate. Ganguly is not keen about Tendulkar reaching the century and is scheming at the other end for a chance to run him out. Had it been like that, imagine the result.

My dad seemed to have a sixth perception too. He could see into the future. If you could see the flow of the flux that has brought you to this moment, you could also have the overall of the further movement of the flux into the future. That is a possibility, isn't it?

it is a fact. when you believe in the flux (as you called it), you tend to realise that there were no accidents in life .... things were predestined

yes, Deepa. it is predestined we should communicate like this, be friends like this, isn't it, when we consider the chance events that had gone behind the process.
