no, no, not this tap--

yesterday's tidbits.

After I read Commentaries on Living for the first time I observed that parrots flew crazily and their long tails and screech gave them away. I began to notice things I never did before. Like the sun streaming softly through the grilled window forming patterns on the floor. That's how haikus are born. Your haikus teach us a different way of seeing. keep them flowing.

Thanks, Prabhakar. In fact, JK started it for me too. Just a couple of years back when I first laid my hands on 'Krishnamurti's Notebook,' which is sort of a dairy he wrote for himself.
Then I chanced into Basho. They look at the world with the same eyes, though I have a feeling that, had JK ventured into poetry, he would have been a greater poet than Basho. It is all about putting oneself into the Zen orbit. But the problem with haiku is it requires readers too in the same orbit. Otherwise it is flat. For instance, how many readers will find poetry in this haiku by Basho:
Into an ancient pond
A frog jumps--
A deep resonance!
